The Taiwan Turnkey Project Association (TTA) recently organized a Taiwan-Japan business matchmaking event where over 60 firms discussed partnership and cooperation in the machinery turnkey sector.
On TTA's invitation, 15 major Japanese enterprises visited Taiwan and met with over 50 Taiwanese companies. Altogether, the two sides found an estimated total of US$3 million in potential business.
According to TTA, Taiwan's small and medium sized turnkey providers excel at manufacturing, however, they still have plenty of room for improvement in terms of research and development due to resource limitations.
Meanwhile, Japanese machinery firms excel at product development, which is exactly what Taiwanese companies need to achieve further growth, said TTA.
The business matchmaking event was held to enable the two sides achieve win-win partnerships and cooperation, TTA added.
