The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will hold the 2015 Beijing Taiwan Trade Fair at the Beijing National Agricultural Exhibition Center from 12th to 15th November. The Fair is held yearly. For the past four consecutive years, it has attracted nearly 500,000 visitors and created USD675 million worth of business opportunity. The event has been one of the most important business activities between Taiwan and Beijing.
The Beijing economy has been growing steadily in the past years. Beijing’s GDP in the first two quarters of this year reached RMB 1,057.8 billion, representing a 7% annual growth rate. Whereas, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Beijing in the Jan–Aug period totaled RMB 650.3 billion, representing a 6% growth rate.
Beijing’s per capita income in 2014 is valued at RMB 43,910, which is the second highest among the major regions in Mainland China. With high income, it’s expectable that consumers in Beijing demand not only high quality products and services but also creative and high-tech applications. Hence, the 2015 Beijing Taiwan Trade Fair will be focused on these demands.
With the focus on presenting more new concepts and creative products, TAITRA has carefully selected the 261 Taiwanese exhibitors from 600 enterprises based on their export performance or award-winning products.
The fair will be separated into seven industry zones, namely “Sports, Leisure and Apparel”, “Elder, Children and Beauty”, “Taiwan Foods”, “Taiwan Tea”, “Creative and Handicrafts”, “Specialty of Taiwan Cities”, and “Taiwan Enterprises in Beijing”.
In addition, TAITRA will set up four industry pavilions: Taiwan Excellence Pavilion, Taiwan Agricultural Technology Pavilion, Taiwan Healthcare and Aesthetic Medicine Pavilion, and O2O Pavilion. Visitors can experience Taiwan’s most creative products and services in these pavilions, which will showcase outstanding technologies and solutions in the areas of leisure, sport, environment-protection, agriculture and healthcare.
